Extraordinary Charles X Circa 1820 ‘Bulle de Savon’ Opaline Glass ‘Bombe’ Casket with Dore Bronze Feet.

Straight Horizontal Ribs Alternating with Cross Hatching Decorate the Body and a Fluted Starburst Adorns Each Side.

The Gilded Dore Mounts are Intricately Sculpted with Small Flowers  and Two Lion Heads Decorate the Sides of the Box. 

The Keyhole is Embellished with a Double Cornucopia of Flowers. 

The Box Rests on Two Dore Bronze Feet Each Depicting A Pair of Winged Classical Creatures.

'Bulle de Savon' Opaline Glass Glows Fiery Red When Put Up to the Light.

One of the Best Boxes I have Seen.
