The Rectangular Box is Finely Cut with a Distinctive Geometric Diamond Pattern, Creating a Brilliant, Highly Reflective Surface Characteristic of Early 19th-Century French Crystal.
The Casket is Mounted with Richly Decorated Gilt-Bronze Bands, Including Finely Chased Foliate Ornament, and Retains a Rectangular Escutcheon with Keyhole to the Front.
The Architectural Form is Particularly Striking, with Projecting Cut-Crystal Corner Elements and a Substantial Stepped Lid.
